A young member of our group, Scott Nelson and a variety of friends have done all of Box Elder creek from Nemo to RC!  Box Elder creek has not been paddleable for years!

Scott paddled part of it before the last high water and finished it up today. I think Scott actually qualifies for first descent on parts of the creek! According to Scott,  Box Elder Creek is different but almost easier than Spearfish Creek (Scott paddled Spearfish Creek at 150 cfs).  He says it has a lot of barbed wire but a very friendly landowner below nemo is willing to work with us to get that rerouted/removed/replaced so it is more boater friendly. Box Elder creek is getting pretty bony down now, so its season is getting pretty well done.  Let me know if you want  to talk to Scott for more info.

REMEMBER: NEVER paddle new water without carefully scourting! And NEVER alone! If it is uncomfortable to be on it, GET OFF! Ego is a poor trade for your life!
